Andrew R. Connery, Ed.D.
Andrew R. Connery, Ed.D. is a licensed psychologist in the State of NH and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Dr. Connery has a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Stonehill College (1978), a M.S. degree in counseling and educational psychology from the University of Oregon (1982), and a Doctorate in educational psychology from Northern Arizona University (1987). He has been employed and engaged in internships at the Brockton Veteran's Administration Hospital, Brockton, MA; Veteran's Outpatient Clinic, Eugene, OR; in many public school systems, private preparatory schools, vocational schools, and child and adolescent treatment centers within the states of OR, MD, AZ, MA, VT, and NH. Dr. Connery has taught undergraduate psychology courses at Plymouth State University, Plymouth, NH, as well as in the Psychology Department of Northern Arizona University. He has taught graduate courses in Psychology at Rhode Island College. He has an intense interest in attentional disorders and other disorders which have behavioral characteristics which are similar to ADHD, but which have a different etiology. He was formerly the Director of Treatment at Spaulding Youth Center, Tilton, NH for 3.5 years (1986-1989). Dr. Connery has completed a 14-month doctoral internship within the Fuller Memorial Hospital Drug and Alcohol Dependency Treatment Program. This involved inpatient assessment and treatment of both adolescents and adults who had been hospitalized.
Dr. Connery has been in private practice for over 20 years and currently evaluates patients in the practice office in New Hampton, NH and at River Road Pediatrics in Bedford, NH. Dr. Connery is a member of the APA, the NASP, the NHPA, and is an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA).
Dr. Connery also occasionally engages in organization development (OD) assessment and training activities for human service organizations.
