Professional Supervision and Personnel

Mental health professionals in training within educational institutions, such as universities, must receive post-doctoral training to become licensed in New Hampshire. Details about this are provided at the website www.nh.gov/mhpb/index.html or by calling 603-271-6762. Persons are also interested in obtaining supervision to enhance their work, to obtain closer affiliations with hospitals or agencies requiring it, and to meet requirements for participation on insurance panels. Licensed professionals are sometimes sanctioned by the Board, and they often require periods of supervision in order to further ensure that the mental health professional will not have similar violations in the future. Professional supervision is provided to other psychologists and social workers within the region on a contractual basis. All of such contracts are arranged directly by Dr. Connery, and he makes a commitment to provide clinical supervision of a specific duration to professionals to meet their supervision obligations. Supervision is provided by Dr. Andrew Connery according to the American Psychological Association.
